What the Insurance Does Not Cover
No deposit does not mean no rules. Under our booking terms, the renter pays the full cost of:
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, off-road driving, traffic violations, an unauthorised driver, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Lost or damaged keys, documents, child seats and other equipment
- Wrong or contaminated fuel, and a battery drained by equipment left on
- Interior damage and excessive dirt; smoking in the vehicle carries a €150 cleaning charge
- Traffic and parking fines
If another driver causes the damage and can be identified, the case is handled as a third-party claim and does not affect your zero-excess cover.
How to Rent a Car in Rhodes Without a Deposit
- Book online – choose your dates, pickup point and car category, and see the final price before you confirm.
- Pay the booking prepayment – by debit or credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Collect your car – at Rhodes Airport, Rhodes Port, our Kalathos office or your accommodation. Show the driving licence and passport or ID of every driver and pay the balance in cash or by card. Nothing is blocked on your card.
- Return the car – with the same fuel level as at collection, at the agreed place and time.
Who Can Rent
Every driver must be at least 23 years old, hold a valid driving licence and be named in the rental agreement. EU, USA, Australian, Canadian and Russian licences are accepted; an International Driving Permit is required for licences issued in other countries. A valid passport or identity card is also required.
